May Birthdays!

This is a whole lot late in posting, but in May we had a family "May Birthday Party" for Mae, Titus, and Alex. Titus had a fun time playing in the water and jumping on the trampoline at Nana and Papa's house. I made a cake for Alex and later she did get to have a few friends spend the night. Tomorrow was supposed to be Haley and Lila's friend birthday party (Lila didn't get to have hers, since we were in Ethiopia), but considering Alex, Vince, and Haley all have fevers, headaches and can't get out of bed, we decided to postpone.

Alex's Birthday

Waaaayyy late on this blog for Alex's 10th birthday, but better late than never. We had 3 of her closest friends, Kiran (a star-wars warrior), Mandy who is Miss Personality, and sweet Libby. They had a blast eating dogs, swimming in the spa, climbing on Nana and Papa's roof and playing spy. A perfect day for Alex! Grandma made a green and white checkerboard cake and Alex got beautiful clothes, Jedi weapons, legos, softball gear and more.

December in Review

Sorry it took me sooooo long to update this. I have pics from Alex at her choir concert. She sang a beautiful solo. This is a wonderful Christian home school choir that sings beautiful praises to God and it is so precious! Christmas at Grandma Black's and Papa and Nana Ketchum's.

Alex at Bible Camp

So my firstborn Alex, went to Nebraska for a week of Bible Camp. It was fun for her, hard for me. I missed her so much. I have never been away from my children for more than 3 days, let alone 7! She had a great time--it was hot, but they got to have plenty of splash time in the shallow, sandy river. It was in the middle of nowhere, about 10-15 kids total, and heat rash covered my girl, but that is better than ticks. Here are some pictures. The last one is of Alex's friend Isaiah--pooped out during craft!

Alex's 9th Birthday!

May 19, 2008

Our baby Alex turned 9! I feel so old. It has truly been such a blessing to have 9 wonderful years with our daughter--she is so thoughtful and caring and helps me out when I am spread thin! She got Digital Army Camo (hat, jacket, and pants), Lego/Star Wars Wii game, books, clothes, LEGOS!!!!, Nancy Drew DVD and much more. She will be going to a hotel with 2 friends along with Haley and one of her friends for a combined birthday celebration in June. They can't wait! It will be crazy--6 girls and Vince and I holding down the fort! Here are some pics of our baby!
